Blue Hole Park

Blue Hole Park is a hidden gem in the heart of Georgetown, TX. The Lagoon borders on four sides, with limestone bluffs providing an incredible view as you’re able to sit down and take it all in for yourself. There are picnic areas available that are perfect for family-style meals or just two people alone. There aren’t any equipment rentals, but if fishing interests anyone, they can go ahead without worry because it will not affect their catch due to its clear waters.

The Blue Hole Park is an oasis in the middle of downtown. The water here has a depth that ranges from 10 feet down to over 100, making it perfect for any adventure you have planned. There are plenty of seats around so visitors can sit back, relax and enjoy their time at this fantastic spot while kids play on land or swim underwater without worrying.

Located at 100 Blue Hole Park, Georgetown, the Blue Hole Park is a hidden gem in the heart of Georgetown. The entrance to this scenic and historic landmark can be found at W Second Street, behind El Monumento restaurant on Rock Street, where a free public parking lot lies just off 3rd St., or there’s also an available garage nearby.

Park Amenities like trails provide a variety of hiking opportunities for all abilities.  The overlook in Blue Hole offers an excellent view of the natural scenery surrounding you while also providing easy access to fish or swim in the scenic pond.

Please be aware that entering the river is at your own risk. The City of Georgetown does not monitor water flow or bacteria levels, so make sure you’re considerate while exploring this natural area by removing anything taken in, including trash. Jumping from cliffs isn’t allowed either- it’s dangerous for both people and animals who may get stuck on rocks below if they fall into deep waters.

The Blue Hole is a spectacular park that family and friends can enjoy during the summer months. The waterfall here makes it easy for you to cool off, enjoy some time together, and relax under a shady tree or near one of many designated sitting areas located throughout this beautiful space.

The Blue Hole in Georgetown is a great spot to enjoy the perfect barbecue as it has plenty of space and beautiful views. Just be sure not to bring your alcohol because it is officially banned at this park (and if there are any glass bottles found, they’ll get destroyed). And as always–no parking in undesignated areas or fires anywhere except portable gas grills are allowed with these few exceptions, so don’t forget them when packing up afterward.
